The Eire Og Gaelic Football team is excited to start its third season in the Western Canadian Division. Pre-season training has already started. Players interested in learning a new sport, keeping fit, meeting new friends, and above all having fun are welcome to attend any of our training sessions. Games are played from May to early September. Games are played in Red Deer, Edmonton, Calgary and one weekend in Vancouver's Stanley Park. Through fundraising travel expenses have been kept minimal. Gaelic Football is an affordable sport; last years fees where only $50.00 and the only personal equipment required are soccer cleats.

Pre-season training has started. If you would like to learn how to play gaelic football pre-season is an excellent time. Training times and locations are located under the training tab. During this time newcomers will learn the rules and practice basic skills with other beginners.

Darren Lavery of Eire Og recently visited The Rockies Sports Bar in Belfast. Rockies, the first Canadian sports bar in Ireland, proudly displays jerseys from a wide range of Canadian teams. Darren, on behalf of the Red Deer Gaelic Athletic Association, proudly contributed a jersey to owner Jim Graves. The jersey is the first in the Canadian GAA collection.
